It ploughs back its surplus to establish the Agricultural Development Fund to support agricultural programmes and development projects. Currently the Fund has a capital of $70 million. During the year 2010/11, it dispensed $27,816,786 to support various agricultural development projects, including the promotion of organic farming, improvement of VMO’s wholesale marketing facilities, and organization or different promotion activities such as Local Agricultural and Fisheries Products Festival and Hong Kong Organic Festival.
